brake pad/rotors recommendation

Hey guys,

I'm sure this has been covered in the forums in depth and I've done a little reading on it, but I am going to be relocating my Boxster to Savannah for six months or so this weekend. Before I leave I want to change out the rotors front and rear, new pads, and bleed the system. I'd like to order everything I need by tomorrow and get this done by the weekend.

Has anyone done this recently and can recommend someone (ebay or dealer) that I can use for the rotors and pads? Looks like Mintex is the way to go on the pads, should I go OEM on the rotors or is there something better?

Thanks in advance!

Ron

This guy is great to deal with and has good prices on brakes

I got drilled rotors from these guys, I think they are Zimmermans that they drill and powder coat. I was in a hurry for mine when I bought them and got them without the powder coat. You can't see it unless you are right up against the car anyway.

Also try FPCgroten.com I needed coils and they had the best price and lightening speed shipping. http://www.foreigncarpartsonline.com/

You will also need a Motive bleeder to make things super easy to bleed. You will probably need 2 hours to do it all but it is so simple I can't think of a reason not to do it yourself. There are DIY guides here and over on renntech.org

You are going to be driving through some gorgeous country and at the perfect time of the year too. I'm very jealous. Savannah is a beautiful town too. One of the prettiest I have ever visited.

Perfect, just what I was looking for. I'll give the guys at epiq a call and see if they can next day everything I need and maybe I can knock this out tomorrow.

You're right about the drive. I've done it quite a few times in my F-150 but this will be the first time in the Porsche. I'm thinking I'll get down there a little faster than I usually do!
