Lloyd's Mats for your Pcar.
 

Anyone with 986 mats from Lloyd's know how to remove that piece that covers the front of the seat rails? Is there something I have to push down?

The'll send you the wrong floor mats and blame you for it.

IIRC it's held on w/ one philips head screw. IIARC (if I also recall correctly ;)) you can sneak the retainer up there w/out removing the end piece. The rubber backing on the Lloyds is very good and you may not even need to use the clips.

The easiest way I found to do this is to gently twist the plastic off the rail and slide it out somewhat sideways. It comes off pretty easy. There are not screws or anything. They just snap in.

You can also try using a small flat head screw driver to lift the center tab up and slide it out. I think this is how it is insturcted on the Lloyd's installation card.

The Lloy'd's fasteners rock! I got so used to the OEM mats sliding back and forth, that velcro thing would always come loose. The most annoying part is the mat getting wedged under the brake or clutch. grr...
Skip the OEM mats next time around.
