slightly warped spoiler

Happy Easter

I picked up a 05 boxster this week and have noticed that the spoiler is slightly warped in one spot

In other words..

A little off center to the right the spoiler has an area that bends slightly up like a half moon. Maybe 4-5 inches across. (the spoiler is fully retracted)

Any reason to worry about this?

Is it something I could have fixed by a body shop or some other resource.

thanks

Same thing that happened to me. The spoiler (at least on my 986) is attached with rivets on one side and a bunch of clips on the other. My spoiler top had the clips in the middle connected but the clips on the outside edges were popped off so it wasnt even. Just raise it up and take a look to see if that side isnt secured. Hopefully your lucky and thats it. 20 minute fix.

ST,

thanks for the suggestion. I checked the spoilerr and do not see any clips.

Looks like the metal of the spolier is slightly bent. I'll probable speak with the dealer tomorrow.

Car was looked at by a service manager today. He said he had never seen anything like this before.

They are ordering me a new spoiler and it will be replaced under warranty.
