2 ohm vs 4 ohm speakers

chitowndad Registered User Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Chicago suburbs Posts: 379	2 ohm vs 4 ohm speakers Guys, I just replaced my stock door subs with JL subs and noticed that the stock subs are 2 ohms and my new subs are 4 ohm subs. Will this matter and / or will I hurt the new speakers, etc. What's the dofference? I'm using the stock amp and stock wiring. Sorry, this electronic stuff is new to me. Thanks -Steve
