986 Rebuild

There had been some links to articles and a company in England that is rebuilding 986 engines. They use nikasil(sp?) liners after boring out the cylinders. I've lost track of their name and links to the articles. The articles also had info on the secondary shaft update.

I saw an article on this too, it's very interesting. I wonder if the rebuild price makes sense? I hope my low milaeage 98 stays together but if "she blows" I'd have to consider all options, including an engine swap from another model.

It's called AutoFarm, and they do some incredible stuff to these motors. Pricey though and that's even w/o the unfavorable exchange rate.

If price were no object, I'd look into them for sure.

Thank you! I'll be sure to add that link to my favorites. I'm surprised they haven't found/licensed anyone state side that could also do this. They'd make a small fortune.
