17" Rim suggestions PLEASE~!

Hi, :)

Im looking to get a 17" rim for my 986 (7/8.5J) - same size as stock 17" just because that is the only size that would fit in my TINY car garage in Tokyo. Since the rim spec needs to be 5H-130 to fit, would anyone know what aftermarket 17" are out there for our boxster??? I've so far only managed to find one 17" with 5H-130 and that is the WORK BROMBACHER rim... and nothing else

Thanks so much!

Check out tirerack.com... if they ship to Japan, they can display a bunch of rims that could work. You can even view how they would look on your car.

Wait, how would rims with a larger diameter make the car not fit in your garage?

friggin jpop carparks

"Wait, how would rims with a larger diameter make the car not fit in your garage?"

--> Its one of those mechanical carpark where the wheels go on metal tracks and hauled upwards... Hence current clearance on each rim is only 3cm from the outer tip.. I doubt there are any 7J/8.5J 18" rims out there.. thanks for the input tho ill check that site up now. :)

In Japan, many car park structures use a carosel/ferris wheel type system to save on space. Looks really cool when in motion.

SSR Professor MR1 FITS?????

Will SSR Professor MS1 18/19" (7J/8.5J) fit our 986? The bolt pattern for this rim says 4/5H 98-114.3/98-130 and Im not quite sure how to interpolate that..
Does it mean it comes in 5H-130??? If so, that'll be sweet..

SSR Professor MS1

Thanks for all the inputs! :)

No the bolt pattern diameter is wrong. You need 130mm not 114.3. In general SSRs work best on Japanese cars. Lots of Japanese cars use 5x114.3.

Ooops. I went to the site and it looks like they do have 5x130. But to be hones I don't know if the center bore and offsets work for the Boxster. In my 17" size they would be about 1/4" too far in.
