DJ,

Its looking real good. Your car is coming together real well. I was not a fan of the rims at first but they have grown on me, the last few time you posted pictures they have come into their own. the rims look great, especialy with your color.

I love the way the car sits. What springs do you have on the car?

When you first said you where going to do a Momo wheel I wanted to write you and ask what the heck are you thinking...I thought you where putting a retro wheel in your Boxster. I have to say that is one amazing wheel, It goes really well with your theme.

Keep up the good work.
One last touch...get the bumperetts painted.

You have a beautiful car,
Gary

thx man

springs are by Gemballa
bumperettes will get painted once it gets warm out thats for sure, i kinda wanna eliminate them completely but not sure on that yet.
and yeah, the wheel is absolutely beautiful, leather and perf. leather, very nice feel, and a little smaller, so grip and handling is great.
and i gave the wheels 3 coats of WheelWax treatment today as well, so they shine up very nice

The FVD wheel I put in my car a few months ago is also smaller than OEM and I noticed right away it seemed to make the car "feel" better. I guess its less movement for my steering hands to make the front wheels move. The smaller wheel is an improvement.

I think there is a bracket behind the bumperetts that needs yo be cut or at least covered. I think our cars look better without them.

yeah the bracket needs to be taken off, but the cost of repainting the whole bumper vs bumperettes is preventing me....i already spent more than i wanted on the car lol (everyones story hahah)

Nevermind the bumperettes...leave them on...tell people you are matching them to the tires.

There you go my friend no more money spent on the car.

It looks good with them stock, dont sweat it.

its a stock batwing, when i painted my calipers red the first time i ordered those decals for it from xenonmods.com and they send you 6, so i had them leftover.
then now i have yellow calipers, and i personally think that porsche sript is too tiny and doesnt stand out at ALL, so i went with brembo ones.

Looks nice! But, sacrificing function over form, I hope you never miss your airbag.

Very nice DJ. That steering wheel is pretty cool looking. What are you doing about the airbag light?

Hey,
Your car looks better and better everytime I see it. I need to ask about your interior. I see you painted a trim piece that I never even noticed I had. It is the 1 inch trim that seperates the top part of the dash from the lower. You seem to have painted yours silver and it looks great. I went out and tried to pry mine off with a small flathead, but it seems to be stuck really well. How did you do this mod?
Thanks

a lot of people that tired to take this off ended up breaking the piece, so i didnt want to risk it.
in the summer, i masked everything off and painted it as is in the car.
just make sure to mask everything off that you don't want painted.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I wasn't knocking your car at all. I think your car looks amazing! I don't think I've ever seen another Boxster in that color and you're certainly making the most of it. I do like the style of your MOMO wheel, but I'd prefer an Airbag. I would probably have looked at the RAID Airbag wheel.

But, in my case, having a Tiptronic, I'm pretty much stuck. Because there are only a few aftermarket wheels which allow you to keep the 'Manual' mode, the OEM Sport 3-spoke wheel is fine by me.

Sorry about hi-jacking your thread with the discussion of the Tiptronic aftermarket steering wheels, I've moved it to a separate thread
