I got my boxster!

I got a 2000 base with 71k miles for 14,700. I tried to get the dealer down more but she just would not budge! Anyway I found all the maintenance records at a dealership so I'm hopping I have a good one. I'll post pics tomorrow. Now I wonder how long I can wait until I start modding it...

Awesome news bro! What's the color combination? I'm kinda partial to model year 2000 myself.

I know you just dropped a chunk of change on the car, but might I recommend your first mod be the smoked side markers (if you don't already have them)? They're only about $45 shipped. Or you can "de-snorkle" for free!

Welcome to Boxsterhood.

We need to get all of the Louisiana Boxsters together for a drive.

I turned off TC and slid the car a little more sideways than I wanted. I think I'll leave TC on for a while. This is my first RWD car, I'm used to honda/acuras.

The car looks like a metallic/pearl blue with grey interior & top.

The options I know & care about are TC, hi-fi sound ( but I only have found dash speakers, door speakers and an amp) , 17" wheels .

Congratulations! I did too!

My congratulations - I'm happy for you - this has been a good week for Boxster purchases - I got my 2003 S, speed yellow, this past Saturday - I've been keeping it quiet b/c I don't have any of the photos with me here in the office, and I've been waiting 'till I can post those with the announcement.

Enjoy, and let us know your thoughts after you've enjoyed it for a little while.

congrats on the new car, sounds like u got a good deal.
car looks great btw.
now to start modding, if you already have all the maintenance done, move on to the lights and get rid of all that orange that takes it back to 80s and your car will look 10X better

I totally agree. I need to get rid of the orange. Also I called the dallas local dealers and I found that the car has had all is records completed at the dealer including the 60k maintenance.

It sounds like you got a great deal indeed - I'm slightly envious

Reg. the records, I would make sure to get a copy of all of the records from the dealer. This will not only get you more familiar with your car, but also let you know what to expect (for example, if brakes were never done, start saving, or if the clutch was changed only 10k miles ago, then you know you are good for a while etc.). Plus, you will have all records handy when you decide to sell this car off in a few years time.

Enjoy the car!

PS: Ambers are OK. Its good to have a little color in life
