Dyson Racing Tour

Hi, finally got the tour organized and 30 from our club, only 30 allowed because of small facility, but we could have had at least 45 from our region alone, got to tour the shop. Randall Kelesy, shop foreman, gave us a comprehensive rundown on what is going on in prep for the upcoming season and race at Sebring. The cars were in pieces so we got to see them inside and out. Those wheels are BBS and cost $2,500 each. They take 8 sets per car to a race and they take two cars, you do the math! This is a costly operation. They employ 14 full time members at the shop and hire more for the race itself. We also got to enter one of the support trailers that go to the event. These are complete shops when set up and they can build another car, if necessary, from parts that they bring along. A small but efficient facility and we are grateful that they let us tour. Go to the following url to see photos of the event:

I wish to thank Dyson racing for the hospitality and we wish them well for the upcoming race season. I wish to also thank our new Webmeister, Anthony Coloreo, for the great job of upgrading our website and taking such great photos of the event.

AKL
