Kitchen Nightmares!!!!

I am going to a taping of kitchen nightmares tonight. I just thought that was cool and I would share that. It is being taped at a place near me called handlebar.

You had me going for a sec. I am starting a Kitchen remodel project this month. I am planning to do the cabinets myself and the tear out. The counters, floors , backsplash and appliances I will have done...

See if you can get any pointers for me!!

Have fun!

Cabinets, floors, and backsplash are the easiest part for me compared to cabinets. Hired tile guys for one house and after seeing how ridiculously easy it is I have done it myself ever since. You can do granite tile countertops for really cheap and for 1/10 the price of one-slab granite. It is the easiest thing in the world except you do need some patience.

Love that show, the only reality tv that I have ever made a point to watch somewhat faithfully.

Just got back from the taping. It was crazy.. I can say that I got an honest 15 minutes of tape there. The food sucked, service was terrible and it was real hard not to look at all the video and sound guys while we were eating. Out of no where they would just have a mic infront of us and lights on us and the camera and you are just supposed to act natural while expressing your take on the place. It was amazing the huge camp they had setup in the parking lot for the production team and all that. And it is not like going to a taping of a normal show, it was real deal. We were literally bumping into Gordon and speaking with him and all that. He really does get into it. Even off tape he was ripping people apart. At one point we were waiting for our table and he walked between my and my lady and he was cursing and what not as he went outside to yell at the manager/owner for being out there. It was a cool expeirence. If anyone else wants to do it they are taping tomorrow night and the reopening on wed. night. You have to call to get a reservastion early in the day and then you have to get there early to fill out all the release forms and what not. Thanks for reading the post, I just thought it was a cool thing to share.
