My experience with extended warranty company.

I'll try to keep this brief, just wanted to pass along my experience with Warranty America , LLC (WALLC).

Bought my '01 base Boxster last March with 32,123 miles on the clock. I found a warranty with WALLC through AA Auto Warranty, who is a broker, for $1,977.00. I got full coverage/bumper to bumper with "extra cost options" wear & tear and seals & gaskets for free with a little haggling. The coverage expires on 3/24/2012 or 112,123 miles or whichever comes first.

Took the car to a dealer to have a few things fixed, lower control arms and cabin air re-circulator. They found two more things that needed to be fixed, an oil filler tube clamp and the spark plug tube O rings were leaking. I did have to ask a few different people at WALLC to cover the O rings and finally found a rep that agreed. They wouldn't cover the clamp, rightfully so as it states specifically clamps are not covered. The only problem was the hours, Porsche wanted to charge more than WALLC thought fair, so I picked up the difference, which was 2.35 hours.

So, I paid $1,977.00 for the warranty, WALLC paid out $1,790.00 and I still have 4 years or 105k miles to go. If you are looking for an extended warranty I would seriously check them out. BTW, I am in no way affiliated with them, just a happy customer (and one with peace of mind at that!)

Forgot to mention, I have a $100 deductible.

Thought I would add to this

Just picked up the car from an Indy after my alternator went out and I needed the coolant overflow tank replaced. The warranty co. paid for everything, $1,412 total. I paid a little over $140 for my deductible, a new coolant cap and the difference in the towing fee. So, to date I am up $1,231 on the warranty, with 71,123 miles or 3 years 7 months to go.
