Boxster SCCA class BSP?

For all those autocrossers out there I found the following thread regarding a move of prepared Boxsters to the BSP class.

For the life of me I can't find anything in there that supports the class change? The only thing I can find is that in the stock class pre-05' Boxsters (regardless of S or not) are still in AS. I'm looking to put wider than stock rubber (R compounds in 245/17 front and 275/17 rear) and maybe some stress bars and have no idea what class I would fall into? Help?

I heard a similar rumor before the 2007 season. Haven't seen a change anywhere yet. May want to check sccaforums. Not sure if the 2008 rulebook has been posted yet.

Go for it. Some people love AX, others hate it. (Those that hate it tend to be bad at it btw ;) ) For someone new, the first thing I would suggest once you get there is to walk the course. Walk it as many times as it takes to remember where you need to drive. Walking a course at 2-3mph is NOTHING AT ALL like trying to drive it at 45mph. Trying to learn the course AND drive it fast is overwhelming. Take your time. Walk the course. Have fun. Repeat.

Yes, the 2008 Solo Rules book is available on the SCCA website.
I have not looked at it yet, but I do not think I am running any events with them this year.
