Cayman to Boxster side vents - parts needed? I know there are some out there who have done it - what exactly is needed, other than the vents? After looking at some drawings it appears that I just need the innner Cayman frames and maybe the clips - right? I know Eric at Bumper Plugs sells a retrofit kit but if all I need are the Cayman frames I can get those from another guy. |

Bob, you should get the kit from BumperPlugs, excellent quality & service, then send them to your dealership, and ask them to do the swap. Talk to your salesguy, and maybe they won't charge you. That's how I did mine (painted vents, not the Cayman swap). They charged me $20! :) |

Porsche made the painted side vents a factory option for the 2008 MY (maybe 2007 too). It costs $1,245 (code DAG). Wow! They also include the 2 front air inlets. Still, mine only cost about $175 from BumperPlugs. |

$175 from Bumper Plugs? It looks like they are $289 including the core charge. |

My error. I paid $275 in 2005. And here I thought that I was not going to make any errors in 2008! :) |
