944 rims fit on my 2000 boxter

will a late model 1989 944 rims fit on my 2000 boxter

It's quite possible. They would definitely have to be late offset (87+), but even then you will want to ensure the widths are right.

However I could use stock 17" Boxster rims on my 944's, so I assume it would be safe the other way. Just be sure to check for caliper clearance.

I had stock 17" 986 wheels on my 951 for a while, but it was an '86 so I had to use a spacer. I guess it comes down to the year 944 wheels you are trying to use.

Check with cas951

He is a board member and has a 951 (88, iirc) and a boxster, so he should be able to tell you for sure.

From my experience, Boxster S wheels are direct fit into 87 and later 944's to include 968's. I've installed 17" and 18" wheels from Boxster's directly to late model 944's so it should work vice versa.
