photo/photoshop request - painted wheels

i kinda want to see some pictures of painted wheels from porsche exclusive that are NOT black. kinda interested, specifically how boxster s or carrera wheels would look on a black or midnight blue 987. would be interested to see white painted wheels, or midnight blue painted wheels. or can someone photoshop this?

maybe try using a source pic of my boxster:

just wanted to share with you guys that i did come across this white cayman with the white wheels, which looks pretty nice to me, except for the annoying silver/gray that is in the lip of the wheel, would have been nice to see it all white. would love to see these white wheels on a darker car, like black or midnight blue.

wow, awesome! thanks, that's exactly what i wanted to see. i guess the white doesn't seem to match as well as i expected b/c of my tan interior, oh well. too bad porsche doesn't offer some kind of close to white interior. thanks again!

you are welcome... :)

i would suggest that you tackle the 4x4 look first

Dr. Kill 01-15-2008 02:11 PM

I think the gold looks pretty good. This color/ wheel/ 4X4 look combination is exactly like my car. Well, my car is much dirtier.

I don't know of it would be to ricer, but the red looks great in my opinion.

what is the 4x4 look?

idheaton 01-16-2008 06:29 AM

he thinks the car rides too high and should be lowered....like this maybe?

forgive me for being completely newbie about this, so how would i go about lowering the car? is it just a labor based project i could take to the dealer to do? or do new shocks need to be purchased? how much would i be looking at?

986speedster 01-18-2008 07:11 PM

I like the red too, but I like to be different. Lowering your car requires purchasing a set of new springs..(Eibach Pro Kit, Gemballa, RUFF,.. etc.) and have someone install them. Most new springs will lower your car 1"-1 1/4" Or you can do a complete coilover system. But that is big bucks. Dont forget to get a new alignment after the springs installation.
