coolant leak

My girlfriend ran over a small planter & now there's coolant leaking from the left front skid plate. Why is there coolant up there? It's a '97 with a mid-engine & the coolant resovoir is in the back. Help!!!!

I'm not sure what you mean by front skid plate. Could you take pics of where the leak is coming from?

If you look in your openings of your front bumper you will see a small radiator on each side. They have coolant lines that lead from the rear to the front.

As blink says, there are radiators in the front of the car inside the bumper with coolant lines leading to them from the rear of the car, so your gf must have busted a line when she ran over the planter.
