Fair price for a hard top?
I put mine back on today for the first time since I bought it...I'm not really digging it.
If it doesn't grow on my shortly I'm selling it.
What's a fair price to ask for one in 8.75/10(new) shape?

I paid $610 for mine, but I think $1200-$1500 is more common. If someone really wants your color, then they may pay more.
If you are willing to go to the trouble of shipping it to colder areas of the country, that may increase the interest and the price. Tops are awkward to ship.
Good luck.

Do you not like it because of the fit or the looks? They take a while to mold to the car.
In my experience most people really want between $1500-2000, but they normally sell between $800-1200. I paid $900, if your in a cold weather area or have a color other than silver you will have an easier time selling it. Also, I have seen them sell for more on eBay than anywhere else, but you have to deal with shipping which can be pain.
Good Luck Selling it!

I would say $1200 is fair unless your willing to let it go for less. And I bet if you were not in a hurry you might find a buyer willing to pay up to $2000 because it is a Porsche part. Heck, you can't find a hardtop for a miata for less than $900.

Porsche Dealer in Toronto found one for me from another customer (and did not get involved in the transaction) for $1200 (Cdn). They also stored it for me until Fall and installed it for free when I winterized my car. I looked around myself as well, but it really seemed quite fair so I took them up on the offer. Hope this helps give some perspective on the market.

I'd pay $1200 (US dollars) today if there was a Basalt Black hardtop within 400 miles of me that I could go drive to pick-up.
By the way, $1200 US used to be worth more than $1200 Canadian...
eBay may be your best bet to sell it. It seems like every hard-top on eBay goes for at least $1200 these days (or more). Sell it now -- the market will die in a month or so.

Blink, I would think the hardtop would look great on your car because of the unique color.

I've decided I'm selling the hard top. Feel free to PM me offers.
It's painted Orient Red Metallic and doesn't have any dings.
I will deliver up to 60 miles from Sacramento.

I love my hardtop and I think it looks better on unique colors. It gives off a cayman look. with the right body mods and a cayman like spoiler it can look better. Mine came with it but If I didnt have it I dont think I would dish out the money to get it since a grand can go towards other mods. But its on my car and helps me through the winter, saving my soft top from the weather.
sell it on ebay. shipping would be a pain tho.
