2.5L - 201HP or 204HP

Hi,
I just bought an original 1999 Porsche Brochure on eBay to go along with my car. I had always thought that the 1999's were a 2.5L 201HP, but the brochure from Porsche says it is a 2.5L 204HP. Which is it?
Thanks! :D

(Also, is anyone has an original '99 Boxster Brochure with the paint chips, etc. let me now, I would like to buy it)

201 has been very well documented. Not sure why your manual reads 204 - was non-US any different?

I am not sure either, but it is the American brochure
It reads: 204 HP @ 6500RPM

I have seen a few sites list it as 204HP.
Still not sure which it is though. :D

Horsepower is measured a little differently between the American SAE standard (mechanical hp) and the German DIN standard (metric HP). DIN is a little higher and is probably what's reported in your brochure.

I have a 1999 US brochure, with the paint chips on the last page.

It says 201 hp @ 6,000 rpm.

Thanks, I guess the brochure I have got has the HP in the German HP specification.

Also, Tool Pants if you're interested in selling your brochure please PM me. I tried to send you a message, but it said that your inbox is full.
