that car is kinda scary looking.

Grizzly 10-16-2007 02:48 PM

Good scary, or bad scary?

Padawan 10-16-2007 02:53 PM

Scary as in the person who designed that front bumper must have been on some scary drugs.

Grizzly 10-16-2007 03:01 PM

That's a Techart bumper. Well, it's a fiberglass replica of one, anyway.

Those huge intakes are perfect for sucking up little kids, thus making for a much quieter neighborhood.

NickCats, Christmas is almost 2 months away...put this on your list for "C"! :) Better yet, buy it for her, as her gift. Kill to birds with one stone.

NickCats 10-16-2007 04:22 PM

Griz,

That is awesome ! I promised the wife no more cars for at least 3 years, but that would definitely give the Boxster a run for the money as far as replacement vehicles go :D

( Starting bid $60k, I wonder how high it will get ? )

Bmus,

I like your thought process, but "C" is thinking of getting rid of the Mustang and picking up one of these :

2008 Audi A3

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...0062_Image.jpg

2.0 L Turbo, 200 hp, 207 ft-lbs TQ for $26k !

Sammy and I came across a husband a wife team driving one of these at the last autocross and I really liked it. Still need to go for a test drive and see if it would make an good "baby hauler" ;)

Nick

Admit it, you don't really want an Audi. No, a Turbo sounds like a perfectly respectable babymobile. Come on, click Buy. Just one little click. All the cool people are doing it.

Yeah, a turbo has "four seats"! :D

bmussatti 10-16-2007 05:07 PM

Nick, it will be much easier to teach the baby to say "t-u-r-b-o" vs "Audi"! :)

Grizzly 10-16-2007 06:26 PM

Baby Hauler, huh? Well, why didn't you say so? This should haul some babies.

Nick, I would appreciate it if you could get your wife to talk to my wife. She wants to get a Sprinter. Yes, a Sprinter:

Nonsense. Tell her to at least consider a Mercedes:

Plenty of cargo space, and I bet it's great in bad weather.

;)

Believe me, if I show her that picture, she will want that vehicle instead. God bless her...

Grizzly 10-17-2007 09:30 AM

A sprinter. Cool. I've never actually seen a person own a Sprinter before. I thought they were built exclusively for UPS.

Nick

 you married the perferct woman!!!

I've lost count of the number of women I know who drive Navigators, Escalades, Cayennes, X5, etc. that never carry any cargo other than their Louis Voiutton hand bag, are the only passenger in the car 98% of the time, they don't moutain bike, ski, surf, snurf, etc.... And of course they never drive into the country because Prada hasn't come out with a hiking boot yet.

It's actually pretty cool in a way. We sat in one at the NY auto show. I could get up from the driver's seat and walk to the back standing up straight and still had headroom to spare (I'm 6'1"). We could fit a bunch of kids, their friends, the dog, plenty of gear and still have room to spare.

Plus, they have a huge following on the autocross circuit...
