Are Litronics a straight swap?

I'm looking into grabbing an S that doesn't have Litronics. I want to install them but I don't know whats needed to do so. Anyone have a D.I.Y. or know what needs to be done to install them?

It is a straight swap. Pop out your halogens, pop in the Litronics, and it will work fine. However, if you want to have the additional feature of having the litronics tilt up a few degrees to help the high beams when they are turned on, you will have to also install the wiring harness. If you don't install the wiring harness, you will still have high beams when you turn them on, but the litronic low beams will not swivel up a few degrees to help add more light to the high beams.

just did this swap myself. no problems. i still have the wiring harness for the high beam control still sitting around. seems like more work than its worth, but i'll get around to it eventually.

once the Litronics are in there's a small hole on the side of the housing where you can stick in one of those reverse allen wrenches and adjust the height of the beams. Its good to do this infront of a dark wall or your garage door.
