Buying a Quart of Porsche Paint

Hi,
I just got my new RTS installed for the ski season, and am looking at a used ski box. I want to paint it the same color as the car.
Does anyone know where I can buy a quart of Ocean Blue Metallic Porsche paint.
Thanks! :D

Rick, just take your car to a good quality body/paint shop and have them color match a paint sample for you.

I could do that, but I would like to paint the roof box myself and not pay $100+.

Rick, you can do the work yourself...just buy the paint from them. Heck, a good paint store like Benjamin Moore (maybe even Home Depot) can make you a good paint, in oil base, that you can use. Just bring in a part of the car (bumperette or gas door) and they can run it through a color analyser.

What about buying some from the body shop that works on the dealership's Porsches?

That's a good idea, I'll take my hardtop, "ears," into home depot.
Thanks!

This, I want to see....

I thought about taking in the gas cap door. It's not a simple bolt in deal though, looks difficult to remove. I ended up just taking in the little bumper plug that covers the front tow hook hole. I tried to find a match to Arctic Silver in a spray can. I think that Dupli Color's Platinum was pretty close. At least it looked good in the store. Anyone else use this?

Can't most shops just use the paint code to mix the paint? I thought there was a paint code for the car on the options sticker under your front hood.

Call your local NAPA store with your paint code....

Just to let you know,
This post was just a to get an idea on what I would need to do to find paint that is the same color, before I purchased the roof box. I actually got the roof box, and have decided not to paint it because it is pretty good condition, and the silver color it is, matches the RTS really well.
Thanks for the suggestions though, and if i was going to do this I probably would contact an autobody shop to see if they have the correct color.

Autobody shops usually buy their paint from a local source, LIKE NAPA!

Have you checked out http://paintscratch.com ?

They can provide you with the colour in any form you like, including spray cans.
