Help!3.4L Reliability and IMS?

After my engine suffered early failure. Taking advice from Randall and contacted Todd about doing a 996 3.4L engine swap. He gave me a very reasonable price for the labor. My question is, does anyone know about the reliability of the 996 3.4L engine. Road and Track said the two are pretty much the same engine but one is 3.4L vs 2.5 and that the 996 was mounted in the rear vs mid for the boxster. If boxsters also have a high risk of IMS failure, will that also be a high risk to the new engine? Thanks
