Volcanos on the "boots"
I have noticed small volcano-like imperfections on both the hood and the trunk. I know these were caused by stuff in the compartments bouncing up when driving and causing the dents from the inside. I now keep foam pads in both to cushion cargo. My question is, has anyone had experience with paintless dent removal for these types of imperfections? They drive me nuts! Can they be fixed reasonably?

Pdr
Generally, the PDR guys are just as adept at removing 'high spots' as dents.
They usually quote by the panel ie, fender, qtr panel, etc unless your car has multiple dents and then by the whole car. Ask around ... the really good guys can be gypsies and keep a low profile, but their prices are more reasonable. |
I have occasion to use pdr guys more often than I'd like to. Their work on my cars has consistently been outstanding. I used to go into the Dent Wizards' shop to have my work done. They'd charge me $80 for a dent and then $30 each for any dent on the same panel. Now, I look for the guys who are in the mobile units, working on dealership cars. They'll usually take $50 cash per panel, or go around the whole car for $100.
I can't stand dings. I think it's well worth the cost. |
^$100 nice.....
price is so negotiable for those guys as it only takes them .4 second to remove a dent. I should open a shop... |
I had a couple of the spots on my hood just like you described.
I would call the local guys and have them come by and give you a price. You can get afeel for them and they will be alot less expensive then the nataional known chains. I've got a guy that I've used for a couple of years, he did my two cars recenlty, about 14 dents for $200. |
