wheel fitment question....

thinking of buying some carrera wheels to fit on my 986 the owner says he doesn't think they'll fit a boxster so i have a question on fitment...says the rear are 18 x 10" and our boxster is 9" so will they fit...here's the specs he gave me...

Wheels are 7.5x18" front with 225-40ZR18 and 10x18" rear with 265-35ZR18

You'll need the offsets (that is, the ET #'s on the inside of the wheels) before anyone can answer. In general, 10" (wide) wheels will fit on the back of a Boxster if the offset is correct.

I don't think so.

The 996 offset is larger then the 986.

You need to know the offset to determine, they can probably be made to fit with spacers, but in my opinion, that is not the right way to do things.
