Talking Got it home!

Well, I got my 02 Boxster S home today finally.

After getting brand new Rosso's installed (see my last debacle on slashed rear tires on the transport truck) and having a full post-inspection done, I am happy to have it home. Of course it is raining but here are the results of the PPI and my intended mods: (prices including labor are shown)

(Please advise as to cost to repair DIY, difficulty and comments)

1. Driver's side radiator fan relay is bad allowing the fan to only come on when HIGH instead of normal. (inc. clean radiators) Price: $431.00

2. AC LCD screen is damaged (blotchy and cracked) - Price: 575.00

3. Reverse Driver's side light wiring is cut? Need to get to harness and fix: $320.00

4. 4-wheel alignment recommended - Price: $216.00

5. New Boxster S emblem (old is slight faded) - Price: $122.00

TOTAL: $1664.00

MODS: (without labor)

6. Clear/Red Taillights and side markers - Price: $165.00

7. Replaced scratched 6-speed shifter with new Carrera 6sp - Price: $350

8. Aluminum Pedals inc. Boxster S logo - $269.00 (ultimatepedals)

Labor for above? Wonder how many hours of labor or difficulty

Good news: Car is excellent condition mechanically - perfect. Engine is new in car with less than 20K and no leaks, new clutch, new RMS, all services done.

BTW, here is a quick pic just before the rain began:

Looks very nice. So you bought it prior to a PPI?

Thanks. Yep, the "Deambering" kits are on the way from Suncoast. I think that coupled with the new Carrera (Porsche logo'ed 6-speed shifter, and aluminum engraved pedals and such) will really make it shine. I did buy it before a PPI, but the seller is going to pay for all of the repairs as recommended by the Porsche shop minus my cosmetic upgrades. Pretty fair I think.

Glad to have it home finally!

2. AC LCD screen is damaged (blotchy and cracked) - Price: 575.00 they also sell a kit on ebay or 65 bux to fix this.
5. New Boxster S emblem (old is slight faded) - Price: $122.00 you can always just paint that, sinple and easy, and very cheap as well.
8. Aluminum Pedals inc. Boxster S logo - $269.00 (ultimatepedals) there are pedal kits for porsche, manual and auto, for 80 bux or so...look same

Thanks for the responses:
2. AC Climate kits on Ebay are $260-300+ that I can find, nothing for $65.
5. Don't want to paint --- cheaper IMHO to just replace rather than masking, etc.
8. Other pedals were cheap, thin and not the quality of QP in my opinion, the quality wasn't even close in the vehicles that I had the chance to observe, plus the finish was no where near the same.

I will keep looking for better prices, but I couldn't find anything yet and hopefully the seller will indeed pick up the costs of the repairs..... that would be sweet.
