Other Forums
Had the car for a week now and it's everything I thought it would be and more. Just did the de-snorkel. Sounds good. Having come from Miatas there were only a few reputable miata forums out there and it was easy to feel out which one you were comfortable in and which one (Miata.net) was run by dictators. I stumbled on to 986forum cause it was the first to pop up in a google search. Now I'm finding there are dozens of other forums with Boxster sections or even specifically dedicated to Boxsters. My question is this... Is this the top forum for Boxsters? Do you guys surf the other forums? Does everyone here seem to get along? Nothing turns me away faster than seeing pages of BS arguments between members. Some Miata forums got that way. Just trying to get a feel for things around here.

For the boxster I hang here at 986forum.com as well as rennlist and renntech
http://forums.rennlist.com/ , http://www.renntech.org/
There is also http://www.6speedonline.com, I keep hearing about but have not visited yet.
Great buch of people here on 986, hard to beat.

I agree with both iowa and kabel...this is a great forum to hang out with and lots of cool members
but for local event's in my area and local members, i go to babblers.org forum (Bay Area Boxster Board)

renntech.org if you want some real technical info
rennlist.com is ok, i dont visit as much
6speedonline.com is crazy, mad rides, mucho dinero spent on those cars, makes me feel very poor
pcars.us
but 986forum is the coolest place ever, in all other forums i have not even 100 posts total haha, kinda like that

We have the best members here by far.
The moderator is kind of strange though!

babblers.org is cool if you want to hang with the Bay Area Boxsters owners, they are always organizing some kinda of get together
6speedonline.com has a TON of 996 Turbos & gt3s people, their meets often consist of massive groups of several car makes.
renntech.org is for your technical stuff
ppbb.com is pretty cool as well, many of the people on their have been friends for many years.
I think my post count on this forum speaks for itself.

I agree,
Renntech is for technical problems and I have my registry page over there.
986forum is great to learn about Boxsters and ask questions that are Boxster specific, I think 986forum is better than renntech for nontechnical questions because you get a faster response.
Then if I want to search for some obscure post I go to babblers, ppbb, and maybe boxa.com
I am 986forum almost daily, and the others I check every few days, for Boxsters this is the place to be!
