door speakers not working?

My door speakers aren't working; anyone have suggestions? Thanks!

I didn't think mine were working at all either until I asked about them. Turns out they are just small subs. I don't have the rear speakers, just the fronts and sides, and the sides are just for lows. Maybe this is what you have?

Yeah, as stupid as it sounds, feel the door with your stereo turned up to make sure they're not working :) After that, normal speaker diagnostics commence: Check to see if you're getting a signal at the plug, check the resistance (in Ohms) of the speaker to make sure it isn't blown, etc.

Turn out I had the same condition as Pat, they are playing I just thought they would be 2 way speakers not just subs, oh well. Thanks!!!

Yeah, sorry to shoot you down... Yes, the stock stereo is THAT bad...

I seriously have no idea what they were thinking, the Box has to have the WORST sounding stock stereo I have ever heard in a vehicle :(

That's why none of my stereo system is stock :D

HI,

Just went through upgarding all speakers in my Box.

The original door speakers are meant to be for midrange only so you wont get any real sound from them.

Cheack and make sure the fader is set to 0 and that the bass level is set above 0. If you have any vibration or bass sound when turned up then they are working as they were designed.

Standard issue (except the bose sytem) is crap!!.

Ciao.
