Luggage compartment lights

Both front and rear luggage compartment lights were not working, so I removed them. There is a plug on each light, but both were not plugged into anything. Anyone know if these lights are only functional on certain Boxster models?

You have to get in and close the trunk(s) to see if they work or not. Do that and get back to us!

Seriously, your question makes me wonder if your car was not properly wired at the factory. Even the cheapest boxster has working lights in the trunks. I know this because my boxster is the cheapest boxster made. No features whatsoever beyond the base model stuff. Well, that's not totally true. Mine has traction control and some didn't, but that is the ONLY feature ordered on my car.

yep - they should be plugged into a brown plug. Pull the linings forward and look for it as it should be there.

Thanks! Found the brown plugs behind the panels. All is well! Do you know where I would find the cabin filter?

yes - under right side cowel which is held in w/ one T-20 (? on size) torx screw. Pull off cowel cover for battery first then un-screw right side cover and it's under there. Access is also shown in the owner's manual too, I think...
