2000 Boxster S 3.2 VS 2005 3.2 Engine Differences?
 
Interested to know what the engine differences are between the first generation Boxster 3.2 and the last 3.2.

1999-2002 3197cc 252 Bhp 225 lb ft 5.9s (0-60) 161mph

2003-2004 3179cc 260 228 5.7 164

2005-2007 3179cc 280 237 5.5 168

Looking at the different displacement variation between the years

1999-2002 3197cc

2003-2004 3179cc

maybe different pistons or head gaskets?

What about compression ratios?

Is it possible to retrofit variocam plus on an early model 3.2?

Or maybe aftermarket cams would an eaiser approach?
