I think the sub 6 time is very plausible, I pulled 0-60 with a gtech of under 6 and confirmed it with a buddys radar gun from his police cruiser and a stop watch.

I actually felt the gtech was more accurate.

My main use of the gtech was to derive baseline numbers before I started modding the car. If I pull a base line of 5.9 then run a 5.1 even if the numbers are not exact it is still a .8sec improvement. I know there are variations but a gtech is better than a butt dyno.

Also, just to throw more fire on the flame. my wheel horsepower numbers on the gtech matched exactly what a dyno showed the same day.

In my opinion for someone doing performance mods a gtech is a great tool, it does not replace a dyno but its a great tool.

Growing up the car magazines said how amazing Porsches are. Was I brainwashed? Somehow...I doubt it.

Your local recycling center should have a scale. I always pull into our recycling center as if im going to drop stuff off just so I can weigh my car.

My car weighed in at 3150lbs.............not including me!

Dude what made your car weight that much? I know you used to have a ton of audio stuff but damn that's 400lbs over the listed weight on the Epiq website.

Lol it's time for it to lose some bodyfat.

Published curb weight is often measured dry and with a car with no options.

If you look at the table you linked to, the curb weight for a 2000 Boxster S is 2855.

For accurate results, all weight must be accounted for.
Acceleration numbers from the G-Tech aren't dependent on the weight logged. You can enter 10 pounds and it will still report the same acceleration numbers.

It doesn't matter for acceleration numbers. The G-tech uses weight for power/torque calculations.

You're right. I stand corrected. Good call out!
