Header Q's
Why are boxster headers so expensive compared to 911 headers??? I see on ebay all the time 911 headers for 200 bucks, etc..., while boxster headers are going to 600+. Same header just backwards flange. So if I buy some 911 headers can I cut off the flange and have them welded back on but turned around? I saw an auction today for 911 headers sell at 120 bucks (these right here,
So even if it cost 200 bucks for some joe schmoe to weld 6 pipes you would be ahead. Any experts wanna say the feasibility of this? |
they bought a more expensive car, so now they get to save a few hundred hehe
|
I would assume this would be a simple economics answer... larger demand equals more competition, saturated market, and cheaper production costs due to larger quanities which all in turn equates to cheaper prices when compared to those of them for boxsters... BUT for the most part the high end 911 headers are on par price wise with highend boxster units.

Just buy my s-car-go headers that I have for sale for 500. and save 1500 on the original price. :)

JAAY,
PM sent on the headers. Take care, Mike |
Dude, you know I want them, but if you sent them to me id have to pay you in installments. If thats ok then sweet, but being a person who has sold stuff on this site before... you cant trust everyone. But I have gained a bunch of street cred on this forum so you know im legit. Just let them go to the person with the most posts... who wants them... lol.

That is pretty funny. I would love to do that for you but I could use some of the money to help pay for the supercharger. who knows maybe you could come into the money out of no where.
|
Like I said, I would take them, and I could pay you before the end of september.

Continuing my search...
And back to my original question, can 911 headers have the gasket cut off and welded on backwards and fit correctly for the boxster? |
