Steering wheel diameter

What is the diameter of the 4 spoke steering wheel in a 99 Boxster?

I am looking at a new one and I am trying to figure out if its bigger or smaller than my current wheel.

As a standard of practice is a larger or smaller diameter wheel better for our cars?

Thanks

Smaller wheel:
-Can block some gauges, depending on your positioning
-Makes the car a little harder to turn
-Could force you to loose your airbag
-Makes more room for your legs
-Feels nicer in your hands (IMO)

Larger Wheel:
-Makes the car a little easier to turn
-Could force you to loose your airbag
-Makes less room for your legs

It's up to you to see if you like it better.

I just went out to the parking lot, and according to my handy-dandy, Play-skool desk ruler, it's ~14-3/4".

The one I am looking at is 365mm or 14.37 inches.

So its less than a half inch smaller and it does come with an airbag. I think 1/4 inch smaller at the top and bottom would be fine.

Thanks for the help.

I may be in the market for a new wheel at some point, so please post pics and thoughts if you go with the replacement.
