Could be a victim of a Carerra GT Body kit make-over...

J-RAD 08-20-2007 06:28 PM

I'm pretty sure it's being butchered and turned into one of these sh#tmobiles:

I swear, there ought to be some sort of test or something in order to qualify for ownership of a P-car.

blinkwatt 08-20-2007 06:28 PM

Wow,I'm starting to see too many of those conversions around. :barf:

Grizzly 08-20-2007 06:33 PM

I don't know. It looks like they have some high end work going on in there. Maybe they'll turn out something great.

yellowboxster01 08-20-2007 10:32 PM

looks like a widebody kit to me.

The guy scratching his head in the first picture does not exactly instill me with total confidence.

ROFLMAO I agree.

I hope its not a CGT conversion. The rear bumper looks different than what usually gets put on those monstrosities. Did you take these? When can we see the finished product?

djomlas 08-21-2007 09:22 AM

no i didnt take these.
i was looking at pics of 996 over on 6speed and noticed that box up there on the lift, i asked on the original post what is going on with that car, but no response yet

Does anyone know where the shop is located? I see New York plates, so I'm wondering if it's actually in New York or not...

Has anyone ever made a GOOD CGT conversion that really looks accurate?

Grizzly 08-21-2007 06:04 PM

Ummmmmmmmm... .... ... ...no.

986rgt 08-21-2007 10:59 PM

Hey guys I believe that is the techart WIDEBODY kit! that is definitely not a CGT clone, it looks too well done!

Steve

djomlas 08-22-2007 09:21 PM

That is one mean looking Boxster!

986rgt 08-23-2007 03:51 PM

those are pics of a 987, the car on the lift is a 986. The kit for the 986 looks a bit different, but not 100% sure its techart. Deffinitely a widebody kit though.

Steve

986rgt 08-23-2007 04:03 PM

maybe this? Looks like the 986 Techart kit with the upper door pieces added. never mind, the rear wings are a bit different too.
