Anybody ever crack a headlight lense??
 

I have about a 2" crack across my headlight...don't know how it happened!!! :mad: Is there anything I can do to fix it. If not, does anybody know of a way to seal it and/or maybe conceal the fact that its cracked?? This sucks...oh...its a "clear" headlight to :mad: :mad:

Is it possible that you can get us a pic to see what part of the headlights your talking about?

Was thinkin' about takin' it to some glass people tomorrow and see what they have to say.

Looks like you caught a rock. The lenses are plastic. There's no way that I know of to fix it or conceal it. They do sell shields for our lights that stick on. They're made of the same 3M stuff that they use to make clear bras. If you put those on, it might keep the moisture out. You'll still be able to see the crack, though.

It takes A LOT to crack those lenses. Either you were moving fast or it was a big rock (or both).

My insurance company wanted to repair my lens instead of replace it. From that I deduct there is some kinda place that can fix it. Who knows.

If it's not too much of an expense, use this opportunity to upgrade to clears, or possibly Litronics. If you're deductible isn't too much, insurance can cover this kinda thing.

This would look horrendous no doubt, but can it at least be sealed until I can find a fix for the problem? Epoxy or something? At least that way I can keep it washed.
