Geneva Concours
Those of you in Illinois / Wisconsin,
Anyone interesting in attending the "Geneva Concours" this Sunday ? It looks like there will be a PCA event and a classic car event : http://www.pca-chicago.org/?getpage=211 http://www.pca-chicago.org/downloads/genevaconcours.pdf http://www.genevaconcours.com/ I think I will be attending Sunday if the weather is decent... Nick, I took 1st Place in the Geneva Concours last year for the Chicago PCA in "C" Class.
It's a great show. Lots of very nice Ferraris. |
Let's see here... I pay to have someone tell me how dirty my car is??? ;)
Good luck and I expect pictures of your trophy! :D |
I'm not going to enter, I just want to go check out the cars.
C'mon, guys, the rain is finally supposed to stop Sunday ! Let's take a ride up to Lake Geneva and check out some cars : http://www.genevaconcours.com/gallery.html Chills, bmussatti, djomlas, Super66, Sammy ? |
Nick,
I do believe the event is in Geneva, IL (south on 59, west on Roosevelt) and not Lake Geneva, WI so the drive will be relatively short? I have my parents in town (they are going to the Bears game Saturday night) and don't think I will be able to break away on Sunday. I think we are headed up your way tomorrow night so we can discuss. |
I used to live in Geneva, IL and went to this show several times. Great little suburb, and a real good event to see. Probably where I decided I HAD to have a P-Car!
|
Oops, my bad ! For some reason I thought this was in Lake Geneva, WI not Geneva, IL
Regardless, I'll be there Sunday if anyone is interested... Nick |

Nick, awesome! Great job. Beautiful day today. I went driving instead (340 miles) of Geneva. My car had been sitting for 2-weeks. We finally got power today. We had been down since Thursday's storms.
What is that last black car? |
Sweet! Sign me up for the black car that looks similar to an Enzo. :D
|
Sorry you guys couldn't make it, it was a nice day...
Bill, glad to hear you finally got power and got a chance to take the Box out for a ride. I think the last car is a old Ferrari, but I'm not sure  I did a nice 3 hour ride on Saturday, took 14 all the way to 43 then down to 90 and back home  Don't forget about the weekend of the 29th : http://986forum.com/forums/boxster-general-discussions/11662-great-roads-illinois-tour.html Nick |
