Removing amber in light??

Those little amber diffusers in the "clear" lights. Anyone take em' out? I put my finger in there and they move around pretty easy. Looks pretty easy to knock it out.

I did it to mine with a soldering iron and a pair of needle-nose pliers.

Here's a link to a DIY on Renntech. ToolPants shows how it's done. The piece you're pulling out is like a U shaped thing. Melt through it with the soldering iron and then grab the pieces and pull them out with the pliers. Take your time and be careful not to damage the reflector. It's not hard. It takes more guts than skill. Then order yourself a set of silver bulbs from ebay top complete the look.
