Debadged The Box
I was thinking of replacing it with 986S, but it looks so clean I think I might leave it . Tell me what you guys think.

I'm torn. Looks good clean, but no "bragging rights" if you don't let everyone know its an "S" type. 986S would look cool. I would do the 986 in black and Keep the "S" in silver.

Looks nice de-badged but you probably want a badge... a badge says "Hey Jerk, Stop honking, Im NOT driving backwards on the 405 at 80mph."

I like the Brazilian look on the Box. Not sure I agree with the comment on "bragging rights", but that is a matter of opinion.

Well it looks really clean! I don't know, I'm one of the few that likes an emblem as long as there aren't two or three on the back for instance.
Take a look at the 986. You could always photoshop one on the same pic to give you an idea of how it would look.

the guys at Bluegrass are awesome! I like the de-badged look... if you ever start feeling like a standard boxster, just hit the gass accelerate and watch how much cooler your car stays via your third radiator...
If you are ever in the Lexington area hit me up we will go for a drive. There are a few other Boxster owners in this area too.

I think it looks better clean – am thinking of doing the same to mine. No worries about the bragging rights either. If someone knows the difference between the S and the base model, they will recognize the other cues. Not that it matters anyway…

I personally prefer the bare butt look. Here's a pic of my car (on the right) debadged, and another 986 on the left with the Boxster emblem on the trunklid. I think the badge breaks up the smooth lines of the car, and makes it look busy. The matching painted bumperettes helps to clean up the look too, IMO.

Good point..it could just be the angle but the non badged one seems wider.

I love the clean look as well.

Nice. I have always been a big fan of the Porsche Oxster - you don't see too many of those.

hahaah, yeah, i still have that badge too.
actually the whole B is there, but the bottom part of the B that extends was missing, and it must have stayed like that for a long time since the sun baked the rest of the car and not under the badge.
and as for buffing it, its not that outline is there from glue or soemthing, but actually colors are different. it CLEARLY says boxster with darker shade of green. i will snap a pic and show, it looks liek it broke off when the guy got it, and stayed like that untill i got the car. so when i took it off its like a ghost shade badge....
