OK, I still don't get it!
 

hi folks,

so, for the past couple of weeks I have been looking through every thread i can find regarding jack the WHOLE car up

I have followed the popular link: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/box_jacking/box_jacking.htm

but this is basically an advertisement on hockey pucks. does not really tell me how to get the car up.

I have discovered links that explain how to get the rear end up and level, sitting on jack stands, and i understand that.

What I can't find is how to get the front end up in the air and on jack stands, at the same time that the rear needs to also be up.

the only thing I found close was to use a rear, central jacking position to lift the entire left side, apply jack stands front and rear, then do the same on the right side, but it bothers me to use the left side jack stands as pivots when lifting the right side of the car, if I'm understanding that thread clearly.

I just want the car up in the air, with 4 jack stands, sitting level.

very frustrating trying to figure this out. :(

any help would be greatly appreciated...

I use the rear jack point to lift the entire side of the car, then place a jack stand under the front jacking point and the other on the flat bar at the rear of the car.

Repeat on the other side. Use flat top jack stands that use pins for height adjustment.
