Where exactly are the emergency release cables for front & rear hoods when you have a dead battery ?

Thanks nick
I called dealer & its suppose to be between the headlight assembly & top of fan housing behind the passenger wheel housing. Which I could not find even with a flashlight. So I removed the pass. headlight & looked down the hole on top the bumper & low & behold there the cable was. I moved it from there & slid it down to the spoiler grille by the temp. probe and tucked it off to side., so if I have a dead battery again I will get to it faster. Just an idea to pass on. Nice 99 boxster I also have one

good job, its nice to know that theres some reassurance, but kinda scary that its that easy to get it opened...but not that many people know about this too so its all good.
