Hey Perfectlap...

You seem to be Dah Man when it comes to exterior care. Do you happen to have a faq somewhere that lists the basic steps, the products you recommend, and where one can get them?

The paint on the boxster I bought a couple months ago looks good to the casual eye, but up close it has lines (not cracks - more like water spots) running through it. I'd like to see if I can make it glisten and gleam.

thanks for the compliment. But the reality is I rarely spend more than a few minutes detailing my car. One of the perks of a silver car with a non-black interior. When I had a black daily driver...different story. Keeping that car shiny was like a full time job.

I'll send you a PM.

Perfectlap, if you like you can write up something and shoot it to me via a PM and I'll put a page on my website and post the info and give you credit.

Hey OldBlevins...be ready with all the information coming from Perfectlap. you are right about him.
If you want a simple cleaning process you need let him know so you won't be overwhelmed or if you want a concours type of cleaning process...dude, he got pages of it.

P/L gave me a simple process (spit shine) and from there, the cleaning of my car has never been simple with a concours quality result...

*I Still need to buy an Griots or PC Orbiter..hehehehehe

I got the exact level of info and detail I needed in the PM. RandallNeighbour, that's a great offer. I hope Perfectlap takes you up on it. Probably save him a bunch of time!

I don't know what I was thinking, but I have the black and I almost fainted when I saw it under my halogen lamps.I have used the Porter Cable on a limited basis, and a light color paint.

P.L. would you mind shooting me both versions?
