I like my stick-on Porsche crest and aluminum gauge trim rings.

I think it dresses it up when compared to the basic pre-2000 interior. I also have the aluminum gauge faces, brake handle and shifter knob, but those are stock.

I've attached a few pictures.

Let's see, I've replaced my seats with nearly new, 3 year old seats out of a 911, I put on a 3 spoke wheel, new shift knob, a new head unit on the stereo, a rear speaker kit, silver gauge faces, aluminum trim rings, and new floor mats.

I am now spying leather doors and a leather dash, although I might try applying thin leather on them myself and saving some money.

What did you want to do in the way of interior upgrades?

There are quite a few things you could do...

New floor mats
Painted console and console trim pieces
Leather covering on said pieces

I plan on having my door pocket doors covered in leather, as well as the center console, and probably the 'blisters' on the front sides of it. Probably even have the oddments tray door covered in leather. I'm thinking I might even take the instrument cluster cover and have it covered in leather, with french stitching along the front edge...

You could do color mathing seat belts, both of my boxsters had it from the factory. not sure if you can order it afterwards from Porsche OEM, or maybe even from an aftermarket company. Heres a pic from my boxster:

There is also a host of carbon fiber interior upgrades from Porsche but theyre very expensive. You could maybe find them on ebay or aftermarket for half the price. The interior pieces are the exact same for the 911 and the boxster. Heres some pics from my previous 911:

IMO the best interior upgrade you can do is a painted center console with clearcoat to match the outside of the car. Its really eye cathing and you'll get ooohs and aaahs from people, especially if your car is red, yellow, or blue or a color thats eye catching.

I had this done on my previous boxster and I'll probably get it done to my current one, but we'll probably do it ourselves as we have a paint gun at my office. heres pics from my previous box:

Heres a pic from my previous 911 which is the same center console as the box, with carbon fiber steering wheel:

Send a message via Yahoo to Chills
Painted center console to match the body color.
Aluminum pedals
In-dash navigation system

I'm thinking of doing the door pocket covers in either silver or green. Not sure yet.

Here's a quick listing:

SS door sills - $80
Quality Speakers (dash and doors) - $200

Aluminum Pedals - $100
Lloyds mats w/ exterior color stitching - $110
(yeah I know, their dirty but they do color match very well - just not in photo due to flash and pile height difference))
Ultimate Cupholders - $50

Footwell Lights - $10

Also, 2 others I haven't photographed (b/c many others already have):
- B&M SSK (< $100 for knock off, $200 for real deal)
- rear speakers if not already present - $250.

There, have we all helped you spend enough $ yet

gee... another valuable thread contribution by deano_123

FYI - here in the US, $200 does buy quality speakers. Obviously not audiophile top of the line stuff, but good solid speakers which perform substantially better than the crappy paper cone junk Porsche equips the cars with.

Randall, Fray: What do you guys have in mind for the doors? Are you talking about the lower half with the carpet. I have been wondering if that could be removed and matched. I just don't like the look of the carpet on the door panel.

You could upgrade your cluster to a Carrera cluster and do the OBC and Cruise Control (if you don't already have them) hack at the same time.

Rear speaker kit, aluminum pedals, etc. are all excellent upgrades.

The ashtray replacement tray was a good cheap upgrade. Good place to toss the cell phone.
