Seatbelt Warning / Beep Problem

Hi folks,

Only have 3k miles on my 2007 Boxster S, and it's already complaining at me.. my seatbelt appears to latch correctly, but as I drive the "seatbelt unbuckled" appears on the display and beeps at me continuously for the last two days. The first day it just kept beeping then stopped after about 2 minutes, but the warning light remained lit on the dash. Yesterday I took the car out again, and this time it's going on and off just as I drive along -- the warning lights and beeps will come on for 10 seconds, then go off.. then 10 seconds later it all comes on again.

Despite how many times I unbuckle and buckle the seatbelt, it just keeps acting up. Dealer can't see me until Wednesday. Anyone experienced this and got some ideas on what might be wrong and if I might be able to fix it myself? It's going to be *really* annoying driving the car around this weekend with the lights flashing all the time and the beeps..

And please don't get me started on how North Scottsdale Porsche won't even provide a loaner car, but instead told me they had a car rental agency on site which I can pay $10/day for.. no doubt they're making at least that on the warranty repair, sheesh. Anyone know some folks at North Scottsdale Porsche that actually cares about their customers?

Well, the only thing I think is, if you try to buckle the passenger seatbelt into your buckle, would it work better? you won't be safe but it will may by fix the beep until the dealer can see you.
