Shelf, Driver Sides

pretty stupid question but i can't seem to find how this shelf is installed in the car. the piece was in the trunk when i bought it. i found a diagram and part number at Pelican parts but that still doesn't help me how to attach it. part number according to Pelican is 99655217301 and description is 'Shelf, Driver Sides'. does anyone have picture of this shelf in the boxster or any clue on what it's for?

Send a message via AIM to blinkwatt
Could you take a picture of the part so we get an idea of what exactly your talking about?

That looks like the holder for the owner's manual. It mounts to the underside of the dash below the steering wheel.

And was removed to give more knee room

Leave it off, stuff the owner's manual behind the seat in the pouch there.

I see. Thanks for the responses. I don't think I would want the manual under the steering wheel anyways. Was curious about the purpose of the piece though.
