Two basic questions
1) When I wash my car, how bad is it to get a bunch of water into the vents on the side of the box? (Both soapy and non-soapy water)
2) What are the bumpers made of? I have some small scratches/cuts on my front bumper and I don't want a little patch of corrosion spreading. Unfortunatly, I can't tell if the bumper is plastic or metal underneath the paint. (What crud should I use to cover the scratch if needed?) Thanks! |
The driver side vent is the one you really have to be careful about spraying. I doubt you did anything to harm it (it does have a drain in there), but avoid direct spraying in that area -especially with a high pressure sprayer.
If your bumper cover is original, it's made of plastic (and if it's not, it could be fiberglass -either way, it's not metal). I would think you'd cover a scratch with some touch-up paint. It's my "crud" of choice. |

Think about it,Porsche designed the car to be a daily driver,I'm pretty sure the engineers thought about the possibility of water getting into the intake into account. |
