Thumbs up FM Transmitter function of Garmin GPS with the 986 radio

Today is day three of my 986 experience. I love this car more every minute I own it!

I have run into a little problem. I bought a Garmin 660 GPS unit. One of my favorite features of it is the FM transmitter that sends the sound of the GPS to any FM station on the radio. I quickly learned that the weak Garmin transmitter only transmits about 2 feet. Apparently this isnt far enough to reach the boxster's antenna to provide a decent signal.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Brimech

Brimech,

I did some research ( what can I say, slow morning at work ) and unfortunately I could not find a solution for you. The Garmin 660 does come with an line out jack, so my first thought is rather than going through the FM transmitter you could plug directly into the radio. But, since you have a 2003, I believe you have the CDR23 radio, which does not have an AUX input available :

Sorry,

FM transmitters, are never that great. I would wire it the the radio with the Aux. cable, but like NickCats said it depends on which radio you have. So let us know which radio you have.
