After fueling 2000 Boxster S will not start...

but if you continue to crank on it for 'bout 30-45 seconds it will start. I've tried searching and could not find the answer.

when you boxster engine is running... do you have a check engine light turned on, on the dash?

The check engine light was on. I had my mechanic check the codes and one of the o2 sensors was at fault. He reset the CEL to see if it would come back on. About 1,000 miles and it has not come back on. Does this help?

I am having the same problem, it is takiing about 5-7 seconds to turn over, and the CEL is on. I took it in to my mechanic on Tues. I will let you know what it was was for me, maybe that will help.

I had those symptoms when my Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor was begiining to fail. I didn't have the Check Engine Light go on until the third or fourth incident.

A little later I had a problem with my evaporative emssion system and needed to replace a hose and check valve. I don't know whether the two problems were related.

Are you "topping off" the tank after the pump cuts off? If you are, you might want to stop doing that and see if that helps.

It has happend about 4 times in a row. Normally I would stop fueling after the autoshut off. But the last time I got gas I only put 20 bucks in and it still had to be cranked to start. Monday I'm taking it down to the machinic to have him look at the codes again.
