Wide Body Rear Boxster

Found this kit on e-bay. Allot of fiberglass and bondo needed to fill all the seems together and make it look like one piece in the rear.

I like it, but I probably wouldn't put it on my car. I'd be afraid of molding in the rear bumper, making it non-removable. I'm on my third front bumper because it keeps getting bumped. Replacing the molded in rear, if it got hit, would be a major project.

Yes, your right. Being a one-of-a-kind Boxster can cost you dearly. That's the same reason I just painted my rear bumperrets and added the diffusers instead of replacing the entire rear bumper for one of those european styled ones with no bumperrets. I figure, if I get hit in the rear, the bumperrets may save the main bumper from any more major damage. Like the frame work underneath too.

Not sure if I like it. More so because the front gaurds aren't widened too, looks unbalanced?

Funny you said that, because it's the same rear end wide body. Only difference is this company went the extra mile and molded the seems into the fenders and the other company with that wierd front end did not. Same kit, different fronts. 2 different companies.

Do you have a picture of the other car with the rear kit, and the weird front end? And also, any links to more info on that other one as well? I'd like to see/compare to this setup... Thanks in advance

These 2 kits are ripping off this guys original design. This is the buy who started this wide body kit originally. The photos were taken with some bad lighting on the side of the car. Makes it look like a zebra paint job. http://www.jacquemond.com/english2.htm

Widder isn't always better....

Same applies to the Boxster.

Thank you for that contribution.

I'm sorry, but I have to ask - why do you know about a site called "amplebooty.com?"

This kit just ruins the classic lines of the Boxster.

[986] 05-24-2007 05:22 AM

The Radenergie widebody looks kind of cool. Does anyone have some better pictures?
