CDR-24/BOSE with Ipod/XM/Bluetooth AND ext nav ?

Not finding an answer regarding the Denison Gateway 500 or similar with regard to either an external nav system such as a Garmin Ique3600 (palm based) or phone automatically muting the audio from radio, sat radio, ipod.

Anyone know ?
