MAYBE 2003 S owner?

Being new to this forum and the Porsche Family of Fine Cars...well almost...we haven't purchased it yet... I've got a few questions for the group and looking for any other info you may want to share to make this purchase enjoyable.

THE car: 2003 S about 30K on it. Purchase and serviced at the dealership. One owner. CPO for 2 years. New tires and brake system flushed.

* I live in NH, so looking for a recommendation on service other than dealership. Or a dealership that is/has (a) reputable service dept. (Is this possible) :)

* Any problems that I/we should be aware of concerning the top, i.e., leaks, etc....

*Should I ask the dealership to put it up on a lift so I can see the underside OR find an independent mechanic? I think I know the answer to this...

* Any other pros, cons, that the group would like to share will be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

Bruce

I hope I posted this in the correct thread

Bruce, make sure you get a Pre Purchase Inspection (PPI). Costs a couple hundred bucks...but could save ya thousands!

Bruce,

I don't know about techs in your area, but as bmussatti said, get a PPI by a Porsche dealership or Porsche specialist and visit these links offered by RandallNeighbour, another member in this forum.

yeah you definitely want to get it checked out, or if youre getting warranty i guess you dont have to, but its always a good idea to know beforehand, and jsut a piece of satisfaction to know if theres anytrhing wrong with it.

btw, getting it from the porsche dealer, or no?

More questions 2003 S

I finally got CarFax to open at work and it shows electical system serviced at a Service Facility with just a few miles on it!

Further down in the report... battery replaced, fuses replaced, horn replaced, 4 tires mounted and balanced, brake fluid flushed/changed.

Am I being critical...?

djomlas 05-17-2007 07:37 AM

some people reported that their horn would go crazy on them, so thats common from what i know.
fuses as well, fuses burn out....but fuses for what is the Q.

read the PM i sent you as well

Bruce-
Is this a seal grey/tan colored S at Nashua Porsche Audi? If so, I know the previous owner. PM me and I will give you the low down- or just buy it, a good car.
