Siver Paint - for interior door handle and shift knob??

Anybody know where I can get some silver spray or touch-up paint for the interior door handle and the shift knob? I got a few scratches I like to fix. Also, is the color called artic silver? Thanks!!

Porsche sells touch up paint is is like $15. You'll get the exact color if you buy it from them.

I know the dealer carries touch-up paint for the exterior but I don't think they sell touch-up paints for the interior unless somebody plese correct me here.

I don't believe any of the interior parts are painted from the factory. If your interior bits are painted, either you did it, had it done, or a PO had it done. Might make it hard to match....

It could be Artic Silver OR "Aluma-look"
What year? Pics?

Car is an 2002 Boxster base model. All the interior door handles and gear knobs are original factory OEM that came with the car...I just want to touch-up some silver paint scratches. Just wondering what kind of silver paint to buy and where to purchase. Thanks!

Check the option code, that should tell you.
They are on a sticker under the front trunk.

yeah I have those on my door handles, its "aluma look" I don't think you should try and paint that without removing and using a paint gun.

Actually, all "Aluminum-Look" parts come painted that way from the factory.

Thats correct, I would love to find some touch up paint for it.

My center console is artic silver and so is the roll bar, I am pretty sure it was a porsche or dealer option, because it showed up in my option code. But the interior paint may be different from the exterior paint and you may not want to touch up the interior because, even if you buff the plastic you will be able to tell that it was touched up, because you will always be looking at it.

Just be glad you don't have the "Sport Design Package". Porsche does not have any touch-up for that. A couple of years ago a dealer (when it was in for service) scratched the finish off the shifter handle and had to order an replacement handle for it.

If anyone knows where this paint finish can be gotten please let me know. I have a few spots I would like to touch up

Silver door handles (and wheels) repaint success

I re-painted (actually touched up) my door handle, because of a scratch, with "Silberspray". It is a perfect match for the door handles and I've used it to touch up wheel scratches very successfully. Buy it on-line.
After spot spraying just the scratch on my door handle six months ago, I've never been able to notice the repair. I had originally bought the paint for my 2002 (worked great on those wheels) and now use it on my 2005. The spot repairs blend right in so I didn't feel the need to respray the whole part.

I have this factory silver/titanium color on the gauge surround, switch plates, AC trim, and center console. It's not as silver as the handles. Beat up so it needs fixed and resprayed. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3d4d28d126.jpg

Have more info, or a link?

Might talk to Eric at https://www.bumperplugs.com/ who does custom painting of Porsche parts. Excellent reputation. Not especially cheap as in spray can cheap. But the quality pleased me.

Just went though this with the trim ring around the shifter boot.
It had some blemishes that bugged me.
When I started to sand, it turned out it was thin aluminum tape material with wrinkles.
So I peeled it off and painted it with this:
sorry for the rotation issue.....Dupli-Color Universal Silver Metalic.

The '01 I just picked up had the rough silver trim on the doors, center console, radio surround and roll bar etc. as well. It was worn, chipped, scratched, and looked awful. I have not done the doors yet (may just touch those up) and the roll bar is fine but I did re-paint the center console while it was out to address the shifter. I also went ahead and did the radio surround in preparation for the new stereo all in semi-gloss black. It came out great and the texture is nice as well. I used rattle can silicone lacquer, whatever that is. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1546816217.jpg

Hey TLC,
What is ‘Silberspray’? Not finding it with a web search. Is that the brand name, the color, or what? Where ‘on-line’ did you buy it?
Thanks.
Andrew.
